PlanetPress
Server, the newest module of the PlanetPress Suite,
allows you to print documents created with PlanetPress
Design on any type or number of printers. Enjoy all
the same benefits you were used to with PlanetPress
Watch, but with PlanetPress Server, licensing happens
at the server level unlocking any printer associated
with it. PlanetPress Server enables unlimited printing
to any PostScript device using Optimized PostScript
and unlimited printing to any Windows printer (including
non postscript devices) using Windows Print Drivers.
Combine
PostScript Printer Licences with PlanetPress Server
for optimized processing.
PostScript printer licences are the most efficient solution
for high-volume and critical batch runs. Now, PlanetPress
Server is the perfect complement, handling your ad hoc
or print runs to non PostScript devices. You can use
any printer in your organization. PlanetPress Server
allows you to reroute critical batch runs to any destination
in case of failure of one of your primary devices. Multiple
printing technologies are now available to you, yet
all take advantage of PlanetPress Design. One tool for
creation, many options for output.
New RIP Technology
PlanetPress Suite Version 6 now uses the same RIP engine
that Adobe Distiller uses which optimizes the quality
of the
documents and makes the resulting documents highly predictable
and consistent.
Process print streams from any Windows application
With PlanetPress Suite Version 6, you can now capture
files sent from standard Windows applications, convert
their contents to plain text and use the resulting data
file as input for PlanetPress Design documents. Current
Windows applications do not provide data streams that
can be easily modified or repurposed. This new feature
will therefore convert these Windows print streams into
a tabular format which is perfectly suited for PlanetPress
Design documents. Easily create personalized documents
such as business reports using Windows applications
data streams and automate their distribution without
any changes to the host system!
Archive,
email and fax in a single offering
PlanetPress Image, PlanetPress Fax and PlanetPress Search
are now offered together as PlanetPress Imaging. Leverage
the
functionalities of PlanetPress Image and PlanetPress
Fax to add fax delivery of your documents to your automated
business
processes in addition to email distribution and archiving.
PlanetPress Search will now also come as a part of the
bundle.
New customers will now purchase and receive both products
as a single item, and current customers covered by OL
Care will
receive both products at upgrade time.
Leverage the web technologies to optimize your
business processes
HTTP
Server
PlanetPress Watch and PlanetPress Server are now able
to natively process the contents of online forms and
use them for
real-time fulfillment of requests.
HTTP
Client
PlanetPress Watch and PlanetPress Server can also actively
communicate with a third party Web Server and launch
a
process using the response from that Web Server. This
allows the automated monitoring of any web server and
the real-time
repurposing of online data.
SOAP
Aware
PlanetPress Watch and PlanetPress Server can now interact
directly with SOAP applications such as the ones used
for
secure data transfers over the Internet (HTTPS) and
for interconnectivity with standard business applications
such as
CRMs and ERPs.
