Description of Document Flow with PlanetPress 7

This course provides the perfect opportunity to learn in a one on one
environment. Practice Exercises and Self Check Questions are included to
assist in user understanding. Requirements: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows.

  • Overview of installation and/or upgrade process

  • Identifying components and architecture

  • Understanding PlanetPress Watch’s solution development structure

  • Creating meta process models

  • Navigating PlanetPress Watch interface

  • Developing PlanetPress Watch Processes
  • Identifying, incorporating, and configuring available Inputs:
    • Error Bin
    • Create File
    • Email (Extended MAPI Client or POP)
    • Folder Capture
    • FTP
    • LPD
    • Serial
    • Telnet (Socket Printing)
    • WinQueue

  • Identifying, incorporating, and configuring available Outputs:
    • Printer Queue Output
    • Delete
    • FTP
    • PlanetPress Fax
    • PlanetPress Image
    • Email
    • Folder

Who Should Attend:
Process designers and/or administrators who will be responsible for creating and/or
maintaining a bank of PlanetPress Watch 7 processes.

Student Profile:

  • Analytical/logical skill set
  • Basic understanding of conditional logic
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Basic understanding of elemental programming concepts
  • Intermediate to advanced experience level in a Windows Graphical environment to include:
    • Competency with mouse
    • Competency with Windows Graphic User Interfaces
    • Proficiency copying, pasting, renaming files in Windows Explorer
    • High level understanding of how the PlanetPress solution will be used in
      your environment

Prerequisites: None. However we strongly recommend attending “Document Design with PlanetPress 7”.
