The Loqate Global Geo-data Quality Engine comprises three key modular functions: Identify, Verify and Geocode.
All modules utilize the Loqate Global Knowledge Repository containing definitive address and geographic reference data for 240+ countries. It is supplied as a developers toolkit for implementation on a vast choice of platforms, enabling easy integration into a wide range of applications
Identify:
The Loqate Entity Extraction module enables location and other geographic and contact related information to be identified and extracted from web pages, news feeds, or other unstructured text documents.

This enables the identification, for example, of a company name, address, telephone number and other contact information. This data can then be fed to other Loqate modules for Verification and Geocoding.

Geocoding is a location intelligence process for translating a location to specific coordinates on a map of the earth’s surface. A geocode is a pair of coordinates for the latitude and longitude of a location.
The Geocode module:
- Adds a latitude/longitude coordinate to worldwide postal addresses and geographic data

Our Global Knowledge Repository contains reference data relating to postal addresses and other geographic points of interest for all 240+ populated countries and territories of the world. Loqate is the only solution of its type with complete global coverage. Some data is proprietary to Loqate and other data comes directly from owners around the world and is licensed for use within the Loqate solutions. This includes but is not limited to, postal authorities, GIS data, utility company data and other validated sources.
Once address or point of interest data has been identified or entered, this data can be compared against our definitive reference data to ensure it is accurate and complete. Spellings can be corrected, additional data such as city, city area, region or postcode can be corrected or added, and the data can be enriched with other elements such as latitude longitude geo-coordinate, time zone and other relevant data.
Contained in the Loqate Global Knowledge Repository are millions of entries of buildings, streets, cities, regions, postal codes, geocodes and other data of geographic significance. Additionally, it contains all of the various processing rules which enables Loqate software to Identify, Verify and Geocode data from around the world.
